Hello. Welcome to QWIQR.It's pronounced "quicker".
My name is Mark, I am a full time physics teacher in the south west of the UK. I previously worked
as a software developer. I created QWIQR because
I personally find writing feedback on student work difficult and time consuming.
Changes to QWIQR in response to COVID 19 - Coronavirus
Schools are already closed in many countries around the world and many teachers in the UK expect
that we will close our schools any day now.
So I have now made the following changes to QWIQR.
1. Instant feedback links - Up to now you have needed a printed QR code to record and access feedback on QWIQR. There is now a new "instant feedback" feature on the main page which allows teachers to create a link to share with their students, e.g. by email.
2. QWIQR conversations in the FREE version - To help teachers and students working from home, QWIQR free now includes conversations. This feature allows you and your student to have a back and forth conversation including, audio, pictures and text messages.
3. Enhanced features moved into the FREE version - tags, tracking when the feedback is accessed by a student and the ability to copy and edit existing feedback for use with another student.
QWIQR audio feedback has always been free, but up to now some features have only been included in the premium version. While I need to cover my costs, my aim has always been to make QWIQR as open and affordable for teachers and schools as I can, so I have kept QWIQR free to use for many features and the price as low as I can for QWIQR premium.
I would love to go further and make video feedback free at this time, but the costs for video are significantly higher and if everyone starts recording large numbers of video messages I couldn't sustain it. I am sorry about this, I know that video is a very valuable tool when working from home. Please consider signing up for a 1 month free trial of QWIQR premium to access video feedback.
